The Bald Eagle Has Some Notes About Our Homepage

He arrived on a Tuesday, unannounced, the way he always does. He landed on the monitor, turned his head exactly ninety degrees, and looked at the homepage for what we can only describe as too long.

We asked if he had thoughts. He did.

On the hero section: Too much whitespace. "Whitespace is for countries with fewer opinions," he said, which is not really actionable feedback, but we wrote it down anyway.

On the color palette: Approved. Enthusiastically. He made a noise we had not heard before and would prefer not to hear again.

On the navigation menu: He believes every menu should have exactly three items, because three is a number a bird can hold in his head while flying. We have three items. He noticed. He seemed pleased, in a distant, federal sort of way.

On the newsletter popup: He put his talon through the monitor.

We have removed the newsletter popup.

The rest of the review was mostly about mice, and did not apply.
